A one-bin lane holds a single bin per SKU. When it empties, the line stops until replenishment arrives. A two-bin lane holds an active front bin and a reserve rear bin. When the front empties, the reserve slides forward and continues supplying the line while the empty bin triggers replenishment — eliminating line stoppages.

Can the Kanban card holder be read by barcode scanners?

Yes. Card holders position the card face at a consistent height and angle suited to handheld and fixed-mount barcode scanners. QR code labels on the card or the lane face can trigger electronic Kanban signals in WMS-connected environments.

How are lane depths sized for two-bin Kanban?
