Industrial Inspection Light Boxes
Accurate surface defect detection requires controlled lighting — ambient factory light is inconsistent, directional, and rarely suited to finding scratches, color deviations, or finish defects. Our inspection light boxes and tunnels create a fully controlled lighting environment at the point of inspection, with high-CRI LED arrays, neutral matte interior surfaces, and modular lengths designed to integrate directly with production conveyor lines or manual inspection stations.
Consistent Lighting, Consistent Defect Detection
The enclosure controls the light. Our inspection tunnels eliminate ambient interference and deliver a repeatable, high-CRI lighting environment that surface defects cannot hide in.
90+ CRI LED Illumination
High-CRI (Color Rendering Index 90+) LED arrays accurately render surface color and texture, making finish defects, color shifts, and surface contamination visible to inspectors and vision systems alike.
Neutral Matte Interior
Matte white interior surfaces eliminate specular reflections that mask defects on glossy or metallic finishes. The controlled neutral environment ensures defects stand out against the background rather than blending in.
Adjustable Entry & Exit Aperture
Configurable entry and exit aperture baffles minimize ambient light intrusion while allowing parts to flow through on conveyor or manual pass-through. Height and width are sized to your part profile.
Modular Length
Standard tunnel modules in 3 ft, 6 ft, and 10 ft lengths connect end-to-end for any total inspection zone length. Longer tunnels provide more dwell time and viewing angles for complex part geometries.
Conveyor-Compatible Base
Frame legs and base height are configurable to match your existing conveyor height, allowing the inspection tunnel to drop directly into your production line without intermediate transfer stations.
UV & Multi-Zone Lighting
UV lighting zones for fluorescent defect detection and multi-zone switching allow different inspection protocols within the same enclosure — visible defect, UV, and combination modes switchable by the inspector.
Inspection Light Box Applications
Any product where surface quality is a customer-facing specification benefits from a dedicated inspection light environment rather than open-floor inspection under variable ambient conditions.
- Automotive Paint & Finish QA — Inspection tunnels for painted body panels, trim components, and stamped parts where scratch, chip, and color deviation rejection must be consistent across multiple shifts and inspectors.
- Consumer Goods & Appliances — Surface inspection for painted, powder-coated, anodized, and plated consumer product components where cosmetic defects drive warranty claims and customer returns.
- Packaging & Label Inspection — Controlled-lighting boxes for label alignment, print quality, and surface contamination inspection on packaging lines where machine vision systems require consistent illumination.
- Plastics & Molded Parts — Inspection of injection-molded, blow-molded, and thermoformed parts for sink marks, flow lines, flash, and surface finish inconsistencies under standardized lighting.
- PCB & Electronic Assembly — Low-glare inspection enclosures for printed circuit board solder joint inspection, conformal coating coverage, and component placement verification.
- Metal Stampings & Castings — Surface defect and contamination inspection for stamped, cast, and forged metal components where burrs, cracks, and porosity must be identified before downstream assembly.
