Structural Access Closures
Large-format access openings in industrial enclosures, guarding systems, and controlled environments demand a door frame engineered for the span, the operating cycle, and the automation requirements of the application. Our structural access closures are purpose-built for openings from 4 to 20 feet wide — sliding, bi-parting, and pneumatically actuated configurations for AGV pass-through lanes, production floor perimeter access, cleanroom airlocks, and automated door systems that open and close hundreds of times per shift.
Heavy-Duty Door Frames for Large Industrial Openings
Access closures for large industrial openings require structural frame design, appropriate hardware for the span and cycle count, and integration with the automation or safety systems that control them.
Heavy-Duty Slide Hardware
Precision linear slide hardware rated for the panel weight and the expected cycle count. Top-hung configurations eliminate floor track obstructions in AGV and material handling flow paths. Bottom guide rails available for positive panel tracking in high-vibration environments.
Bi-Parting Center-Open Configuration
Bi-parting designs split the panel at center, each half sliding to the opposite side — reducing the header clearance requirement to half of the single-panel slide distance and cutting opening and closing travel time in half.
Pneumatic Actuation Option
Pneumatic cylinder actuation integrated into the door frame provides reliable, fast open-close cycling synchronized with machine signals, AGV approach detection, or safety PLC outputs without requiring a separate mounting structure for the actuator.
4 to 20 ft Clear Span
Frame structures are engineered to the clear opening width required by your largest vehicle, equipment, or material flow. Structural calculations are performed for each custom span to ensure adequate frame stiffness and hardware loading capacity.
Safety Interlock Provisions
Door position sensors, safety light curtain mounting provisions, and E-stop integration provisions are engineered into the frame — ready for connection to the facility safety PLC or machine guarding system without secondary mounting hardware.
Cleanroom-Compatible Sealed Frames
Sealed aluminum extrusion frames with gasketed panel joints and EPDM perimeter seals allow structural access closures to function as airlock doors in ISO-rated cleanroom and controlled environment applications.
Structural Access Closure Applications
Any large-format opening in an industrial enclosure, guarding perimeter, or controlled environment requires a door frame engineered for the span, the hardware demands, and the integration requirements of the application.
- AGV & AMR Pass-Through Lanes — Automated sliding door frames in machine guarding perimeters and cleanroom boundaries that open and close on AGV approach/departure signals, maintaining the enclosure boundary between vehicle passes.
- Production Floor Perimeter Access — Large sliding or bi-parting access panels in machine guarding enclosures and production area perimeters for forklift, tugger, and oversized material flow without compromising the integrity of the guarding system.
- Cleanroom Airlocks & Interlocks — Sealed aluminum door frames for ISO 5–8 cleanroom entry airlocks, material pass-through boxes, and controlled environment boundary closures requiring positive pressure maintenance and particle containment.
- Automated Production Line Access — Pneumatically actuated doors in automated production lines that open and close thousands of times per shift under PLC control, synchronized with conveyor indexing, robot cell cycles, or part transfer sequences.
- Warehouse Separation & Security — Large sliding panels for temperature-controlled area boundaries, security zone divisions, and high-bay storage area separations in distribution and cold storage facilities.
- Test Cell & Dynamometer Enclosures — Heavy-duty access doors for engine and drivetrain test cell enclosures, sound-attenuating dynamometer rooms, and automotive test facility boundaries that require wide drive-through access during configuration changes.
