The flow rack lanes are accessible from the aisle side of the workstation — the material handler loads bins from behind without crossing into the assembly operator’s work zone. The gravity pitch ensures the newly loaded bins flow forward to the operator position as the empty bin is removed. The operator never stops working to receive replenishment.
Can bins be locked or secured in the lanes?
Yes. Lane end stops prevent bins from flowing beyond the operator position. Bin locking clips prevent accidental bin removal. Lane dividers can also be configured with a brake mechanism that requires the operator to press a release to advance the next bin — used in applications where bin sequence must be controlled.
Are integrated flow rack workstations available in stainless for food or pharma?
Yes.
