Engineered for Industrial & Commercial Vehicle Protection

Modular aluminum carports outperform conventional steel-frame and wood-frame structures in corrosion resistance, installation speed, and long-term maintenance cost — with the same structural performance.

🌟

Corrosion-Resistant Frame

6000-series aluminum T-slot extrusion is naturally corrosion-resistant — no painting, no galvanizing, no rust. Suitable for coastal environments and road salt exposure without surface treatment.

Polycarbonate or Opaque Roofing

16mm or 25mm twin-wall polycarbonate panels for natural daylighting, or opaque aluminum standing-seam panels for full weather protection — both on the same frame system.

🚗

Vehicle Clearance Engineered to Spec

Eave height, column placement, and bay width are all engineered to your specific vehicle fleet — passenger cars, vans, light trucks, box trucks, and service vehicles each have different clearance envelopes.

🏗

Single- to Multi-Bay Configurations

Single-bay carports start at 12 ft wide. Multi-bay configurations in 10–12 ft bay increments accommodate fleet parking of 2 to 20+ vehicles in a single continuous structure.

👥

Freestanding or Building-Attached

Freestanding carports anchor to new or existing concrete pads. Lean-to configurations attach directly to an existing building wall, using the wall as one structural support and eliminating one column row.

Optional Utilities Integration

EV charging station roughing, LED canopy lighting, security camera mounts, and conduit runs can be integrated into the aluminum column and beam structure at the time of manufacture.

Carport Applications

Modular aluminum carports are deployed wherever vehicles need consistent weather protection without the cost and permanence of an enclosed building.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about modular aluminum carport design, installation, and configuration.

What roof styles are available for modular aluminum carports?

Modular aluminum carports are available with flat, single-pitch (shed), or dual-pitch (gable) roof profiles. Flat roofs are the most compact option and suit facilities with low overhead clearance constraints. Single-pitch roofs shed water to one side and are common for lean-to carports attached to a building wall. Dual-pitch gable roofs provide maximum headroom and the fastest water shedding in high-precipitation environments. All roof profiles use the same T-slot aluminum frame system and accept identical panel and glazing infill options.

What roofing materials are available?

Standard roofing options include opaque aluminum standing-seam or corrugated panels for full weather protection, clear polycarbonate panels (16mm or 25mm twin-wall) for natural daylighting while maintaining rain protection, and tinted polycarbonate for glare reduction in southern-exposure installations. Polycarbonate panels are UV-stabilized and carry a 10-year light transmission warranty. Steel-reinforced aluminum panels are available for high-snow-load applications exceeding 30 psf.

Can modular carports be attached to an existing building?

Yes. Lean-to carport configurations attach directly to an existing building wall using aluminum wall-mount brackets that connect to the building’s structural frame or masonry anchors. The carport roof pitch is set to drain away from the building. Modular Solutions provides wall attachment drawings for customer review before manufacture. Building attachment must be confirmed by the customer’s structural engineer to ensure the existing wall can accept the imposed loads.

How are modular carports anchored to the ground?

Freestanding carports use base plates welded or bolted to the column extrusion base that anchor to concrete slabs with anchor bolts. For new concrete pads, Modular Solutions provides anchor bolt templates in the design package. For existing asphalt or concrete surfaces, wedge anchor or epoxy anchor systems are used. In high-wind zones or for carports larger than 24 feet wide, ground anchor engineering is included in the stamped drawing package provided with the quote.

What is the maximum clear span without interior columns?

Standard modular aluminum carport frames achieve clear spans of 14 to 20 feet without interior columns, sufficient for single-row vehicle parking. Spans of 20 to 40 feet use intermediate columns placed between vehicle bays or at the center aisle. Spans exceeding 40 feet use engineered truss or moment-frame configurations. The maximum practical clear span is determined by the snow and wind loads at the installation site — Modular Solutions performs load calculations for every carport quote.
