What lighting is integrated into inspection carts?

Standard inspection cart lighting is a 24"–48" LED bar with CRI 90+ (high color rendering for defect visibility) and adjustable color temperature from 3000K (warm) to 5000K (daylight). The light bar mounts on an articulating arm above the inspection surface and pivots to illuminate parts from any angle. Power is supplied via a cord reel that plugs into an overhead drop or floor outlet at the inspection position.

How are calibrated gauges stored and tracked on an inspection cart?

Calibrated gauges are stored in foam-insert drawers with a custom cutout for each gauge. A shadow board label at each cutout shows the gauge name, calibration ID, and next calibration due date. Gauges are signed out and returned to their cutout at the end of each inspection session. The system supports FOD control and makes overdue calibration dates visible without a separate tracking system.

Can inspection carts be configured for CMM pre-measurement staging?

Yes. Inspection carts for CMM pre-staging are fitted with a temperature-stabilized surface area, reference gauge block storage, and part fixture provisions that allow parts to thermally soak to CMM room temperature before measurement. A thermometer holder and temperature log sheet mount on the cart frame.

How does the accept/reject bin system work?

Accept and reject bins are mounted on a bin rail above the inspection surface. Bins are labeled and color-coded — typically green for accept, red for reject. Inspected parts are placed directly into the appropriate bin without leaving the inspection station. Full bins are removed and replaced without moving the cart. The bin rail accepts standard lean bin sizes.

Can inspection carts be docked at a fixed inline position?

Yes. Floor-mount docking brackets anchor the cart at a precise inline inspection point. The cart slides into the bracket until it clicks, locking it in place. Caster brakes are also engaged for additional stability. The docking bracket is removable when the cart is needed at a different location. For repeat docking to the same position, floor tape reference marks provide a faster alternative to permanent brackets.
