Structural frames are anodized 6063-T5 aluminum or powder-coated mild steel. Lane hardware uses UV-stabilized engineered polymer rollers on hardened steel axles — rated for continuous multi-shift production environments.
Frames accept any number of lane tracks at any pitch. Single-level lanes can be stacked to multi-tier without replacing the upright structure, protecting the original frame investment through future capacity changes.
All standard components are stocked for immediate shipment. Individual rollers, wheel rails, dividers, and hardware kits are available as replacement parts — no need to replace the entire rack for a single worn component.
Non-standard profiles, specialty finishes, and custom lane geometries are available through the Modular Solutions engineering team. Customer-supplied drawings or requirements are reviewed and quoted within five business days.
Three primary track types are available. Roller track uses larger diameter steel or plastic rollers for medium to heavy loads and is the most common choice for carton and tote flow. Skate wheel rail uses rows of small polypropylene or steel wheels on a steel rail for light to medium loads with low friction. Gravity tube track uses full-width round tube rollers for products that need broader support contact across the container base. Track pitch is selected based on the smallest container base dimension to ensure at least two contact points at all positions in the lane.
Lane dividers clip or bolt into the T-slot channel on the front and rear frame rails. Spring-clip dividers snap into the T-slot and can be repositioned without tools by pressing the release tab. Fixed dividers use a T-nut and M8 bolt for a secure, vibration-resistant joint. Lane width can be adjusted in T-slot pitch increments — typically 25mm or 50mm — to match the container width. All divider heights are adjustable to suit different container heights.
Pipe and joint (lean tube) construction allows operators to build and modify flow rack structures on the shop floor without any tools or specialist skills. Round steel or ABS pipe cuts to length with a hand saw or pipe cutter, and ABS joint connectors allow any angle of connection. The system is significantly lower cost than T-slot extrusion for simple structures, and reconfiguration takes minutes. T-slot extrusion is preferred for higher load capacities, precision lane geometry, or environments requiring a cleaner appearance and longer service life.
Yes. Modular Solutions maintains a consistent T-slot standard across all current frame profiles. Components purchased today are compatible with frames purchased in previous years, and the engineering team can confirm compatibility for any specific combination. When older frame profiles have been discontinued, adaptation hardware is available to connect current accessories to legacy profiles.
All standard components including individual rollers, wheel axles, wheel rail sections, T-nuts, end stops, and hardware are available as individual replacement parts. Kits are available for common maintenance tasks — such as a full roller replacement kit for a single lane — but purchasing individual components for spot replacement is fully supported.
